Over three decades ago, Randy Merrell began designing and manufacturing handmade custom boots for a small group of outdoor enthusiasts. Even back then they were calling them, “The best hiking boots ever made.” Backpacker Magazine named Merrell boots, “the most comfortable and functional boots in North America.” Since then we’ve come a long way – a journey that has helped shape our products, our people, and our purpose to become one of the world’s top manufacturers of outdoor equipment. From our very first custom made hiking boots to our latest product innovations, we make all of our products with four core values in mind: Comfort, Durability, Design, and Versatility. It’s all about removing the barriers to enjoying the great outdoors.

In the 1950’s, 14 year-old Åke Nordin from Örnsköldsvik in Northern Sweden spent more time outdoors than indoors. After many long treks in the mountains, Åke decided the backpacks at the time were unsatisfactory and took matters into his own hands by building a wooden frame. This evenly distributed weight across his back so the pack did not end up uneven, pear-shaped, and uncomfortable. It also meant he could carry more weight with ease. Åke’s innovation quickly caught on and in 1960 Fjällräven became the first to commercially make and distribute framed backpacks. Fjällräven means Arctic Fox in Swedish, honoring the small and highly adaptable predator that lives in the Swedish mountains under the harshest conditions. From the small town of Örnsköldsvik, Fjällräven has now expanded to every corner in the world. The fundamental ideas remain the same; provide functional, durable, and timeless equipment to make the outdoors more enjoyable for all. We continue to find smart, innovative solutions to make every adventure an unforgettable one.

We make socks so great, you'll wonder why you'd ever take them off.
In 2001, Dwight Aspinwall and Perry Dowst revolutionized backcountry cooking by creating a fast, compact and efficient stove unlike anything the world had ever seen—the first-ever Jetboil. And our engineers have been following in their footsteps ever since, relentlessly pushing the limits of what’s possible by inventing technologies that continue to redefine the industry.

LEKI Lenhart GmbH was a spin off from the wood processing plant of Karl Lenhart created in Dettingen under Teck in 1948, which produced the wooden letters for lettering used by bakeries or butchers.
LEKI's unique development started as a result of the founders' personal dissatisfaction: Karl Lenhart, an avid skier himself, was less than impressed by the quality and functionality of the ski poles of the time. Therefore, he used his own machine park to manufacture grips and baskets for skiing poles. These went into mass production in the 60s. EKI seeks to offer the ultimate, highest-performing products with passion and a highly qualified, long-term, and experienced workforce. We operate under one strategic mandate: To combine safety and comfort with attractive design. "The permanent exchange with experts and professional athletes ensures a high experience value. Today, LEKI Lenhart GmbH is broadly recognized as the absolute world leader in pole and glove systems thanks to the consistent implementation of this philosophy
Water has shaped our landscapes and every civilization. Today, far too many people do not have access to safe drinking water, and those of us that do rarely have truly clean drinking water. Sadly, serious contaminants such as fracking chemicals, pharmaceuticals and even E. coli contamination are turning up in our "potable" water. We've now made that simple to achieve with [ONE PRESS] purification (+filtration). The Water Filtration Cup, our first product, was released a couple years ago. It received a lot of media attention, won several awards, and rapidly attracted a loyal customer base. Much was learned over the first six months, especially around manufacturing, product design and user feedback. The experience of starting a company and creating a disruptive product technology has been wild and extremely rewarding, yet at the same time humbling. Some of our earliest supporters came to us with product design suggestions for improving their experience. In particular, we received requests for a lightweight and compact "bottle" capable of purification (+filtration), along with a no frills hassle-free loop cap. The Ultralight Purifier (+Filter) Bottle represents a pure distillation of all we’ve learned over the last few years and since have aspired to create.
It all began in 1991 on a bike. Charged with a passion for motorcycles, our founder, Joan Rojas, sought to find a solution to keep his neck and head protected on his cross-country rides. Plucking from his knowledge of tubular knitting, he churned out the first BUFF® ® headwear product, focusing on supreme craftsmanship, and tested it as he traveled the length of the Pyrenees. BUFF® ® , short for bufanda, which means “scarf” in Spanish, was born. Today, just as then, BUFF® ® headwear is a product built on this ethos of quality; it’s in the marrow of our company. Technology has progressed and the industry of textiles has moved into a new age, and we have evolved with it. While we incorporate state-of-the-art fabric technologies, like COOLMAX® and Polygeine®, into our products, we stick to our heritage of quality and reliability. It’s these time-tested qualities that athletes and outdoor enthusiasts from an array of sports depend on, and why BUFF® ® is the original multifunctional headwear. We invite you to become part of the BUFF® ® revolution. See for yourself why BUFF® ® headwear is the perfect accessory for any outdoor activity.
Our journey into the outdoors began with products ranging from rugged canvas wagon covers and horse blankets to custom camp tents and store-front awnings – all crafted in our Binghamton, NY workshop. Quality and durability has always been our trademark. On April 28, 2004, world-famous adventurer and geophysicist Pasquale Scaturro and his international team of explorers completed the first-ever single, uninterrupted navigation of the entire Blue Nile. The team chose Eureka! K-2 XT and Kahuna tents as their exclusive shelters during their 4 month, 3,060 mile journey. We’ve expanded our product line beyond tents with stoves, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, lighting and more.
